2017 Swim For Logan Thanks
Once again an amazing effort with Ian and Jo for the BBQ –nothing like a burger on a hot sunny day… loved by all! Thank you once again to Pellows Bakery for the baps who have given us baps every single year and always support us.
Of course Jacqui and mum for pasties and cakes and all those who baked, cooked and worked the stalls on the day.
In particular we must mention the amazing cake that Jenny George, she did us proud again think it has got to be the best yet! To all of our helpers on the stalls thank you so much it all adds to our total and makes the swim a real community event.
Speaking of community we must also thank Luke Brown of Luke Brown photography who always turns up no matter how busy he is and takes the most amazing photos of our swimmers and event – thank you Luke.
REGISTRATION & COLLECTERS &VOLUNTEERS
A big thankyou to Ina for faultless registration and Matt for help with the timings and of course to Megaphone Man who kept us entertained and informed throughout the day.

Once again we had brilliant safety on the water volunteered and provided for us by:

- Penzance Sea Cadets - Matt Bird for organising and Alex and his crew who were there on the day
- Dan Tolchard and his crew on with Kernow Kayaks support for swimmers
- Penlee Lifeboat – Patch and their crew with his support as always
Every year these guys n gals come out and support us on the water and we COULD not complete the swim without them – than you so much.
A big thank you to all these local businesses who donated prizes for the raffle which raised a substantial amount of funds and is always a great crowd puller!
- Jenny George for the amazing cake as always
- Geevor tin mine
- Cape Cornwall Golf Club
- St Justin Gift shop – who never let us down and always provide a treasure trove of gifts to raffle.
- Down The Cove
- Mermaid boat trips
Most of all and most importantly to all of you who jumped in and swam –all 51 of you! It is a most challenging swim and you all did it and raised funds for our cause and we are so grateful....see you all next year!
